sea days

Sea days on a cruise are a time to relax, explore the ship, and discover new experiences. On Viking, there will be numerous sea days due to the length and vast distances involved. There will be five sea days from LA to Oahu, Hawaii. We arrive there January 11 for a two night stay.

Besides exploring the ship and checking out the many dining spots and watering holes, I got familiar with the Fitness Center and the Sauna/Cold Plunge. Tends to get crowded in there on sea days. I have also taken in a few of the cultural enrichment lectures. Actually met a shuttle astronaut in the sauna who is giving a series of lectures.

Also decided to personalize my stateroom with photos and some mag decals outside my door.
